Spotify podcast API: show details and episode lists as JSON

Pass a Spotify podcast id or URL and get the show details as JSON, then page through its episodes with a cursor. Spotify calls podcasts shows internally, so show URLs work too. One API key, no OAuth app or token refresh. Use the podcast endpoint once for the show details and the episodes endpoint as often as you need to walk the episode list. Each successful call is billed on its own, so checking a few shows stays cheap. A common pattern is to call search with type=podcasts to find the show id, store it, and then poll the episodes endpoint once a day to pick up new releases for your directory, newsletter or sponsor report.

Yes. Spotify calls podcasts shows internally, so podcast URLs use the show path and are accepted.

How do I get every episode?

Call the episodes endpoint and pass the cursor from a response as next_cursor to load the next page of episodes. Repeat until no cursor comes back.

Which fields come back for each episode?

Does it return transcripts or audio files?

No. The endpoints return podcast and episode data as JSON, not audio files or transcripts.
